AAdvantage Citi credit card. I opened the Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select Mastercard in anticipation of immediately going to buy a flight. Th sign up bonus was 50,000 miles. When I went to buy my flight, there was an offer to open the same card for $400 statement credit and 30,000 miles.
I am honestly considering switching my airline next year just to free myself of the American Airlines AAdvantage Aviator Exclusive Bonus Offer In-Flight Only Preferred Passenger No-Annual Fee (first year only) credit card.
I sent them proof of the 75,000 bonus miles email etc and they replied saying they won’t honor it even though I signed up for the card within the required timeframe. Has anyone had this happen before?
Barclays AAviator (personal) is the easiest sign up bonus. Barclays AA (business) is the best sign up bonus. No airline card is especially great for regular spend, though all AA cards get you Loyalty Points now, which helps with status/upgrades.
It's definitely worth signing up for either of the Citi AAdvantage Platinum or Citi AAdvantage Executive cards if you're looking for the extra miles. Make sure you read the terms and conditions of the sign up bonus carefully before signing up and make sure you meet the requirements to qualify.
