If they do make it so that solar panels can help recharge ion engines, that would render them obsolete to players without the expansions
I’m trying to figure out what to do with solar panels. I understand the solar panels are used to charge batteries which can then power a rover, but is there anything else? A space station with solar panels would just be for decoration in this case, unless batteries are somehow useful on a space ship(?)
The large solar panel is a part in Spaceflight Simulator that formerly generated electricity. It is a larger variant of the Solar Panel and used for space stations, rovers and other stuff. Uses [] Powering up spacecraft; Decorations; Air brakes Note: After the 1.53 update it won't work because it will burn up in the atmosphere.
I play on the free mobile version. I know this is really basic, sorry for my lack of knowledge. Also same thing with fairings. I get that the solar panel generates power, but for what?
