Find your trip or travel credit. When you book a trip on American, you’ll receive a unique 6-digit confirmation code made up of letters. It's also known as a record locator. Example confirmation code: JCQNHD. You can find your confirmation code on your confirmation email or boarding pass.
If you are a U.S. citizen currently enrolled in any of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Trusted Traveler programs (Global EntryTM, NEXUS or SENTRI), please provide your Known Traveler Number or Pass ID. (You are not required to enter one of these numbers.)
Our recommended arrival times are meant to allow plenty of time to check in (with or without bags) and clear security before scheduled departure. Within the U.S. – at least 2 hours. Outside the U.S. – at least 3 hours. Check if your destination has travel restrictions.

19 kwi 2020 · After locating your reservation using your six-digit confirmation number, you'll be prompted to check in at the top left corner of the reservation page. Pressing that button will take you through the check-in process. You'll then need to agree to the hazardous materials policy.
