8 mar 2012 · Hi Kathy – The entredeux stitch on the BERNINA 830 is #724, found in the Heirloom Stitch menu. I’d suggest using it with the 7 Groove Pintuck Foot #32 or Open Embroidery Foot #20 as Charlene does.
Janome Supplies Required. Walking foot or dual feed foot (depending on your sewing machine Model. I use a Janome Memory Craft 6700P with a dual feed foot) Fabric and Notions Required. • Sewing machine. • Quilting ruler. • Erasable pencil. • To practice a mini sandwich (12” square)
Needle position 1/4", Stitch Length 2.0, and activate Dual Feed button on screen (highlighted in yellow in photo below). I prefer to use my Dual Feed Foot for attaching binding as the machine is sewing through multiple layers (quilt top, batting, quilt backing, plus double-fold binding).
The serpentine stitch adds quilted waves to your quilt and is a good one to use if you want to soften a very angular quilt. Vary the stitch width to create a wider serpentine stitch. This is also a great stitch to use for water/ocean-themed quilts.
