The chest inside the Blue Moon Inn can be opened with the chest key to obtain the Pirate message during the Pirate's Treasure quest. As the key dissolves upon opening the chest, it can normally be opened only once.

Go upstairs in the Blue Moon Inn in south Varrock. Open the chest in the south-west room for a pirate message. Read it. Go to Falador Park and stand on the east end of the pond, directly west of the statue of Saradomin, indicated by X on the ground. Right-click Dig using the pirate message.
Kill him or walk away and dig again in the same spot to get One-Eyed Hector's treasure chest. You must now simply open the chest and claim your reward! Congratulations, quest complete!
26 maj 2020 · As agreed, he will give you a Chest key which you can use to open a chest in his former Captain's room in the Blue Moon Inn in Varrock. Make your way to the inn, found just North of the Varrock Lodestone, and go upstairs into the South-West room.

4 sty 2009 · Go upstairs in the bar and look for a chest in one of the rooms. Use the key you got from Frank on the chest to obtain a note. It will give you a clue to the treasure's location.
