11 sty 2008 · The holders are much better with the Dorian or Aloris in both the BXA and CXA sizes I've used. All additional holders purchased have been new Dorian and some used Aloris. Complete sets of Phase II on sale at MSC were $225 for BXA, last spring.
23 paź 2012 · I used to think my Phase II was great, until I realized I was constantly recalibrating my DRO after tool changes. Happened upon a used Aloris and my eyes were opened! Then I found a new Dorian BXA set for an unbelievable price and that was every bit as good as the Aloris.

26 lis 2013 · I have been looking for a good quick change tool post and decided on the Phase II axa wedge style kit. (Comes with tool post and 6 holders) My first stop was ebay where even used they were going for over 250.00. Jumped on ENCO and found them for 187 + free shipping.
8 mar 2019 · I had to modify some low cost tool holders from CDCO years ago to fit the Phase II tool post, the flat "base" of the dovetail needed around 15 thou shaved off. Some folks say the cheap tool holders don't match the Aloris dimensions, others say Phase II screwed up and missed on the tool post size.
5 sie 2015 · I haven't bought the Shars holders, but I have bought BXA holders from CDCO - which are even cheaper. I've had no problems with them. Others have complained about soft sockets on the set screws. Mine seem fine, but quality set screws are cheap if you decide to replace them.
