The visit to the driving test centre consists of watching a video that outlines tips and information for older drivers, followed by a short written test to measure basic cognitive function.
I had a great experience in Peterborough for my second G test attempt. Did it in late march before the most recent lockdown. I had never been to that centre before so I drove there the week before to look around. That was helpful. The spots they ask you to reverse into are pretty big.
I took my G test today at the Peterborough drive center, it was my first attempt and I was able to pass. The process overall was extremely quick, I arrived 30 minutes before the test, and I was done before my actual scheduled time.
