3 wrz 2020 · I used the subtraction formula in a cell, then selected Currency & Accounting to add a dollar sign, but it does not add a dollar sign in front of my total number amount. It shows in the cell I had a Sum formula, but not this one.
4 wrz 2012 · $ is used for fixed cell references - e.g. $A$10. This is very useful when copying a formula or filling an entire column from it. You should just format your cell as currency and set the formatting to display a dollar sign instead.
25 maj 2024 · The currency sign not appearing in Excel may be due to the values are stored as text in your spreadsheet. When values are stored as text, you need to convert those as numbers and then change the format to currency to get your desired currency format.
28 lis 2019 · However if I formate cell manually (without VBA code, directly in excel) using custom formate $ #,##0 , then it's shows $, but programmatically using VBA it's not working and showing symbol based on region.

15 gru 2021 · Your cell contains a text value, so Currency or Accounting format will be ignored. You can edit the cell value and manually type $ in front of it, or whichever currency symbol you want. The Euro symbol is Alt+0128 using the Numeric keypad (turn on Num Lock first).
