According to my instructor (the owner of the machine) it can even do a proper chain stitch! I also own a Kenmore from the 158 series (the 17600 seen in the first picture, the second picture is a 19141 from google images) and I want to know if this machine is capable of a chain stitch as well but I don't have a manual and haven't managed to find ...

Kenmore 385.12102. I have read over the manual and searched for tutorials with my model on youtube, but no dice. Everyone else's machines seem to have a button or dial that designates the zig zag stitch, while mine does not.
8 mar 2012 · I use a 110/18 Wing needle, and the stitch I prefer is the entredeux stitch pattern (check in your sewing machine manual to see if your model includes this stitch). If your machine does not have it, try using the venetian, daisy, zigzag, or triple zigzag.
