14 maj 2024 · Compare that to American’s Boeing 737s (the carrier’s most common plane), which have 172 seats, with 16 first class seats, representing ~9% of the overall capacity. Upgrade chances don’t get much better than on the Embraer E175, thanks to the percentage of first class seats.
If you can get the first row of econ after first class you're in for a treat. However if you look at the seat width charts you'll see ALL econ seats on these aircraft (e175 and e190, either config) are the widest econ seats AA offers.

American’s 737 first class is probably the single premium product I fly most often, yet for whatever reason, I’ve never actually reviewed it, so I figured it’s time to change that.
Overview. This Boeing 737-800 seats 160 passengers and is primarily used on domestic routes.
