14 lip 2020 · Year-round, the Cinque Terre Express train connects La Spezia to Levanto to the north, stopping in all five towns along the way. The villages are all just minutes apart from one another, and trains frequently run, especially from spring to fall. A one-way ticket between two destinations costs 4 euros (as of May 2020).

Difficulty: medium. Distance: 3.6 km. Duration: 1 hr 30 min. Toll: €7.50 or Cinque Terre Card. Known for its breathtaking views, the trail from Monterosso to Vernazza stretches about 3.5 kilometers. It is moderately challenging, with uneven terrain and steep climbs. However, the panoramic sea views at the end of the trail are a great motivator.
The five Cinque Terre villages are situated in northern Italy on the Mediterranean Sea, just 3 hours by train from Milan, Pisa and Florence. The closest airports are Genoa, Pisa and Milan Malpensa. There are shuttle buses at the airports that takes you to the central station in each city and from there you can take an Intercity train directly to Cinque Terre.

The ideal location of this town between the Cinque Terre and Genoa and the affordable prices mean that many tourists decide to stay right here. Although it is set on a peninsula and is surrounded by the sea, Sestri Levante has a good railway network from where you can easily reach Portofino and the Cinque Terre, and trains run very often.
