Threads was instantly accessible because most people we knew were already listed as friends, thanks to instagram. One annoying thing about when people sign up to a new social is very often they'll use a different name and avatar, which makes them extra hard to find. I understand that sometimes it's for privacy, but often it's just for fun.
Bluesky - I use it semi-actively, roughly the same as Twitter right now, but while I use Twitter increasingly less, Bluesky is slowly becoming my go-to social media platform. I just wait for bigger companies and news to also take the jump.
