ATT trade in program is a scam. After requesting shipping materials 4x times so I can send in our old devices the materials never get sent. Total runaround over the phone. Finally I got a tracking number out of the guy and the tracking says ‘pre shipping info received’. No package sent, nothing.
The AT&T device-trade in program is very deceptive. In October of 2021 I traded in my galaxy s10e at an AT&T store near my home. It was for $1000 credit towards the next upgrade, in my case the galaxy s21 ultra.
I cannot pay off the remaining $1,000, or trade in my phone, or pay the total amount and get my trade in back. I'm locked in for 36 months. EVEN if I can pay the remaining up front. tldr: if you decide to pay off early you loose your credits and your trade in device.
