According to section 130.80 of the DNR rules, refunds for camping and utility fees can be requested for unused time as long as the request is made by the registered camper within seven days of departure.
Reservations are non-refundable unless the area is closed by the Department. Upon vacating the site, shelter users are required to remove all personal belongings and place all trash in the appropriate receptacles located at the site. Those who fail to do so will be charged a disposal fee of $50.

The park use fee portion of a reservation is refundable if received no later than three days prior to the arrival date. Cancellations made within 3 days of arrival incur a cancellation fee equal to the park use fee for the first day of the reservation. Transaction fees are non-refundable.
