29 mar 2023 · In this article, I explain how you can measure the distance between 2 or more locations on an Apple Map. You can figure out the straight line distance and the travel distance. For example, you can figure out the mileage between two cities or more that you place on a map.
1. Identify the scale of the map. The map scale is the ratio (1:50,000) of the distance on the map (1 inch) compared to the distance on the ground. (usually 50,000 inches). 2. Convert a straight-line map. distance to miles, meters, or yards.
Given a 1:50,000 scale map, a strip of paper with a straight edge, and a pencil. Determine the straight-line distance between two points with no more than 5 percent error and the road (curved line) distance between two points with no more than a 10 percent error.
