3 dni temu · Thirsk Racecourse is situated in the wonderful old cobbled market town of Thirsk, North Yorkshire, forever immortalised as ‘Darrowby’ in the literary works of the World’s most famous veterinary author James Herriot, who occasionally found himself working at the Racecourse on racedays.

28 cze 2024 · An excellent day out in the Yorkshire Dales, including a visit to the James Herriot Museum in Thirsk and Grassington, better known as Darrowby. Tour guide Pete was extremely informative and helpful. It was a really good way of seeing parts of Yorkshire which it is difficult to access without a car. Thoroughly recommended.
