Early bird or family check in. Hi! First time flying SW, will be flying in July from LAX 5:05am to Houston Hobby and then back from Hobby 5:20pm to LAX. I purchased my tickets 3 days ago and I did pay for early bird. I was so tempted to get business select but it cost over $700 EACH for the flight home 😬, so I went with my chance at early bird..
Early bird as far as I know is the same price no matter when you book. Price stays the same, but the value of it decreases as you get closer to departure date. Either purchase EBCI early on or skip it and check-in manually and be prepared to buy upgraded boarding. AFAIK Early bird is better the earlier you buy it.
