To create a map with any of these geographical fields, simply double click on the field in the data pane and Tableau will create a map using generated latitude and longitude fields. You can then encode the geographic points or areas in the view with a measure contained in your data.
As of Tableau 9.1, there is a radial distance feature in Tableau. All you need to do is click the fly out menu on the toolbar for the map and choose the radial selection tool. Hover over your point and drag to complete a 10 mile radius. It will select all points that fall within that range.
