It's really in Rachel Nevada and if you blink you'll miss the whole town. If you're coming from Las Vegas on Extra Terrestrial Highway 375, the only stop sign in the town is on the left at 'Back gate road', turn left and drive about 10 miles down the dirt road until you reach Area 51's back gate.
