The ferry that runs from Fajardo to the islands of Culebra and Vieques is run by the Puerto Rico government and is called the Integrated Transportation Authority of Puerto Rico. The ferry runs everyday including holidays 365 days a year and carries between 200-600 passengers per day.
Most people take the 5pm ferry back, but that means you get to the beach at 11am and your already packing up and leaving the beach around 3:30-4pm to ensure you drop off your rental and make it to the ferry. We got to the ferry around 4, but we decided to have a drink down the road, and headed there at 4:40, and we were fine!

4 lut 2024 · The Puerto Rico Ferry offers departures from two main ports: Fajardo on the mainland and Culebra Island. In Fajardo, the ferry terminal is conveniently located near the town center, making it easily accessible by car or public transportation.
Ceiba is near the larger town of Fajardo, and is about a one-and-a-half-hour drive from San Juan. If you choose to take the ferry, note that you'll have to leave your rental car in a parking lot near the ferry terminal and schedule separate transportation in Culebra and Vieques.
