I had a problem of my chrome always defaulting to yahoo as my default search engine for months even though I went to the setting and deleted it and installed antivirus. But, then I found in my extension that I didn’t know was installed was an extension of unknown or not safe search engine.
When I open a new tab on Google Chrome and type in the search bar it immediately uses Yahoo’s search engine instead of Google’s. How do I change this? When I go to “default search engines” I have Google as one but the default is Ikysearchds and it won’t let me remove that.
I have what I can only assume to be a virus which redirects all my google searches. It doesn't happen in other browsers and it doesn't happen with non-google search engines (eg duckduckgo).
