11 lis 2014 · Windows 10 clean install can't find a valid partition. ASROCK 770 Extreme 3, 8GB's Memory, AM3+ 2-core cpu. On two separate install attempts I got to partition screen on both a WD 80GB drive AND a WD 160GB drive, deleted partition and created a new partition and then formatted them.

17 mar 2020 · You cannot shrink a volume beyond the point where any unmovable files are located. See the the "defrag" event in the Application log for detailed information about the operation when it has completed. Notice that the disk management tool reports 0 space available to shrink.

31 gru 2023 · Experimentally, it is evident the Windows 10/11 installers are aware of the existing UEFI and WinRE partitions. Logically, you don't need a second partition (except in a special case), because one UEFI partition is supposed to manage multiple boot options. So, the installer just doesn't make it.
