OP is flying on a flight operated by Air Canada, but his flight number starts with the letters UA (i.e. it’s a codeshare flight that he purchased from United). Better to understand the question before giving misinformation.
You should be able to check in via either of their apps or websites by entering your booking/confirmation number and last name.

I fly to Canada a lot, and DL and AA suck to Canada. Far fewer frequencies, and no real connection possibilities unless you go through Calgary or Toronto with DL. AC has the benefit of a much more robust route network, meaning you can fly from almost anywhere in the US to anywhere in Canada with one stop or less, multiple times a day.
