22 cze 2010 · I'm trying to find out when my Mod. B Fox was manufactured. It has Savage Arms stamped on the barrels so I'd assume it was made rather late by collectors standards. I cannot find a serial number on the gun anywhere. It was a gift to me by my step-father when I was about 12 or 13.
6 gru 2019 · The serial # of the receiver can usually tell you the year made. The first 2 digits of the receiver SN matched the manufacture date from about 2000 (00-xxxxx) until about 2010 (10-xxxxx). They had to change the format in around 2011.
The 1st three numbers of your serial number will always provide your manufacture date. The 1 st number is the YEAR of manufacture; the 2 nd & 3 rd numbers indicate the MONTH of manufacture. Please see the detailed explanation and examples provided below.
21 gru 2005 · Look at the serial number. There will be a letter before the serial number that will probably be between "M" and "S"" in the alphabet. If you give us that letter we'll be able to tell you the year it was made.
