  4. Usually 'proper' premium economy is around double the price of economy (as mentioned already). Proper PE is a separate class between economy and business offered by airlines such as Qantas, BA, Cathay Pacific, Air NZ and Singapore Airlines as industry leaders in this class.

  7. 193 helpful votes. 1. Re: Premium Economy, is it worth it? 14 years ago. Save. IME the legroom (lus beng further away from the seta in front) is well worth it for PE on long flights, plus you get wider seats and better service and food but only you know how much the $800 is 'worth' to you.
