Belts only have 2 slots but you can increase that number with belt pouches. You probably also found a pouch wherever you found the belt. So to increase the capacity of the belt you need to go to an anvil, put the belt in first spot and the pouch to the second.

I've seen a few posts on here saying to not put the tool belt in the baubles section (both to get more baubles and avoid the bug where it disappears) but to instead put it in what they reference as the Tool Belt or Belt slot.
Just made a tool belt and realised I have no idea how to use it. Put it in a baubles slot or the special tool-belt slot that comes with the mod, then hold whatever key you assigned the tool-belt selection to, and select a slot to put it in. Use the keybind for it and put tools in there.
