83 reviews. 84 helpful votes. 1. Re: airline miles. 10 years ago. IMO, air miles are great if you fly a lot anyway. Otherwise they tend to be a waste of time. Basically, you have to fly a lot - often on a higher priced ticket than you could get, in order to accumulate miles.
Each airline has it's own rules when it comes to using miles. The best source for how your airline handles their miles program is the airline itself. Give the miles department a call and explain to them you're new to this or just not sure how you should go about this.
