This mod adds a tape measure which you can use to measure the distance between positions. After obtaining the Tape Measure you can start measuring by right-clicking on a block once. Then moving to the second position and right-clicking the block on that position.

place 1 block down, run 10 blocks diagonally south east and place a block, all the blocks are highlighted and the distance is shown. Place 4 blocks down in corners and it highlights all the area inside the shape and tells you the dimensions.
