22 sty 2024 · At my 36 week appointment I was told I was 2 cm dilated and 75% effaced. He also was measuring 35 weeks even though I’m 36 and I’m wondering if maybe it’s because he’s so low in my cervix already? Has anybody else experienced this & how much longer till they went into labor?

9 kwi 2018 · I was 2 cm 60% effaced when checked on Thursday. Some mild contractions since, lost a bunch of my mucus plug this morning, but no labor yet. With my first I was 4 cm for almost five weeks. With my second I started dilating at 30 weeks and he was born at 39.6!
When your cervix is 50 percent effaced, it's about 2 cm long. At this point, it's halfway to becoming short and thin enough to allow your baby to pass through the uterus and into the vagina. Most effacement usually happens during the first stage of labor, when your cervix is dilating to 6 cm.
I asked the midwife to check me and she says I'm 3 cm dilated and 75% effaced. She said not to worry about coming in today if I lose my mucus plug unless I have contractions that are 4-5 minutes ...
Fast forward to today, I've made it to 33 weeks and was told at today's appointment that I'm 2cm dilated and about 75% effaced (up from 1cm and 60% two weeks ago). My OB said to continue the bedrest and is hoping I make it to 35 weeks. Has anyone has similar numbers around this time with no cerclage and lasted a few additional weeks?
