I'm taking a class called ENG-101. For an upcoming paper, we have to label the course and our section. The full number I see every day on the website is ENG-101-057DW_2020FA. Is my course number 057 or 57? Or something different?
27 kwi 2018 · A common system works roughly as Najib Idrissi describes: courses numbered 100-199 are first-year courses, which either have no prerequisites or only high school-level prerequisites. Courses numbered 200-299 are second-year courses, which have 100-level prerequisites, and so on.
Course Numbers. The second part of a college course code is a series of numbers. These are often three digits long, but many colleges use four digits (or even five). These numbers are the main way colleges organize their course catalog. No two courses at a college will share the exact same course number.

The section numbers of a class are the last there numbers in a class name. For instance, the section number below is L01.
Your section number is listed at the end of your course subject and number. For example, ENGL_1301_ B001 would designate that your English Composition 1 course was in a Blended format, a full term length course, and is offered during the day.
