Dress Code. HISD allows each individual campus to establish its own dress code or uniform policy. The goal of a dress code is to ensure that students stay focused on learning and to create a positive and safe environment. We appreciate parent and student support in upholding our dress code.

The purpose of Pershing’s Dress Code is to ensure a safe learning environment and to promote a climate of effective discipline that doesn’t distract from the educational process. All students will be checked prior to entering the building to ensure that dress code is followed.
Daily Elementary's School Uniform: REQUIRED. Shirts: Solid polo style collar shirt in either White, Hunter Green or Gold. Pants: Khaki, Denim pants, jeans, shorts, skirts, skorts (no more than 2 inches above the knee). No ripped/cut up pants or jeans. Shoes: Closed-toed, rubber sole shoes.
DRESS AND GROOMING. (All Grade Levels) The district’s dress code is established to teach grooming and hygiene, prevent disruption, and minimize safety hazards. Students and parents may determine a student’s personal dress and grooming standards, provided that they comply with the following: Grades 3-12:

Students are expected to dress or groom themselves in clothes and accessories that are appropriate for school activities, including, but not limited to rubber soled shoes for physical education. Students must wear shoes all the time.
