You can use the Ruler tool (type "I", or "Shift-I" to toggle through until you've reached the Ruler tool) to plot a line between two points in the image. You should see measurements in pixels next to the tool details (below the menu items).

If Creative cloud desktop is installed on your Machine it will at some point want to updated CS6 to version 13.1.2 which will break old perpetual CS6 installs.
