21 mar 2024 · Tickets purchased directly from Delta, including Basic Economy fares, are included in our 24-Hour Risk-Free Cancellation policy. This means you have up to 24 hours after booking to cancel your ticket for any reason and receive a full refund with no change or cancellation fees.

1 maj 2022 · The only way around the Delta cancellation policy (and this cancellation fee) is if you cancel your Delta flight within 24 hours of making the reservation. Additionally, Delta used to have a policy where you couldn't change or cancel a flight within 72-hours of the flight's departure.
If you cancel your flight, a cancellation charge will be deducted and the remaining value of your ticket will be returned in the form of an eCredit, which you can apply to your next flight.
Beginning June 23, the initial launch will feature the option to purchase additional flexibility as a refundable fare in the GDS or OBT channel displays across each cabin product type, excluding Basic Economy, for all most domestic and international flights.
