I picked up some cheap tickets for a party of 5 (in the 500usd range, even after adding 150 to avoid basic economy the price is still good IMO). Very pleased with the deals out there. Is this because the USA didn't open up its borders for Europeans?

We typically fly to UK/Europe sub $600 PP/ RT on Delta from SLC 3-4 time a year. Have done Tahiti $700 PP/RT. From LAX is usually cheaper and we just use miles or companion tickets to get to LAX from SLC, which usually runs us about 11k miles or $150 PP/RT.
