17 paź 2022 · I recently bought a 2009 CLC C180k with the supercharged 1.8 litre engine. I believe after much research (including on this forum) that this is the M271 block that is prone to issues with the cam adjusters. On a cold start up I get a slight rattle noise for about 1 second, which then goes away entirely.
28 gru 2022 · Failure to do so can result in the cam belt degrading and blocking the oil pump inlet with debris, resulting in low oil pressure and terminal engine failure, which is probably what you have heard about.

19 sty 2022 · Posted January 19, 2022. 7 months after buying a 67 reg Focus 1.5 (182bhp) a series of engine problems (starting in sept ‘21) have led to me being told a replacement engine is needed. Done approx 39k miles, only 8k of which in last year. Cylinder 3 “warped” is what I was told.

19 lut 2020 · I am considering purchasing a 2018 Equinox with a 1.5L turbo engine. I am trying to figure out if this engine can be run up into higher mileages (i.e., 200K+) if not abused and well maintained. Most folks I talk to are telling me to stay from anything with a Turbo but can't explain why.
5 sty 2019 · recently woke up to my car overheating last week when it was 24°F. Hitched a tow to the dealer and the head gasket blew and drained all the coolant into the engine combustion chamber. Had the ESP or it would’ve been a 6K dealer job.
