5 cze 2024 · BBB Scam Tracker has received multiple reports of scammers creating fake airline ticket booking sites or customer service numbers to charge travelers for rescheduling fake flights.
Unless you select known, recognizable sources like Priceline, Orbitz, etc... cheapflights.com is a complete scam. Scammer companies post low prices that do not exist. After you place your order, you'll get an email that says "Your reservation is still pending, you have to call us because there's an issue".
Consumers who are duped by the scam usually discover the awful truth when they contact the airline using the carrier's customer service channels to complain about the extra fees or to inquire about the whereabouts of the missing tickets.
VERIFIED SCAM. Company posts cheap flights online, sends a receipt/booking confirmation, but doesn’t send flight confirmations from airlines. When you call them, they try to charge you more to book OR attempts to charge a cancellation fee. 90% of the posts in this forum are complaints about “cheap” airfare companies. If you want to take the chance then go ahead, but don’t look for support from the regulars here.
This company scammed me. They asked for £535 for direct flight and paid. Got an email to called them and then told me my outbound was not available. I requested a new flight and told me I had to pay £400 for a new one and the £535 offer was out the window.
