We are looking for a cheap getaway in November and we are considering booking the 4 star hot deal offered by hotwire and we are wondering if anyone has ever done this and is it really a good deal or can we find the same on another site while being able to pick where we stay?
I booked a room(5-Star) with stated price of $2,400 and paid $200 with 90% discount rate through Hotwire. Does this mean I will be getting a luxury room? Could the stated price outrageously be overprieced?

Just read through all the comments --I use Hotwire multiple times a year and have never gotten a 2 when booking a 4. There have been some 3s that were in my opinion closer to 2-2.5s but it's not a total scam. I use these sites whenever I travel. The deals can be incredible. Not for fussy people.
