Hung Cao (born August 3, 1971) is a Vietnamese-born American retired Navy captain and politician. He was the Republican nominee in the 2022 election to represent Virginia's 10th congressional district. Cao is currently a candidate in the upcoming 2024 United States Senate election in Virginia.

Retired Navy Captain Hung Cao came to the United States as a refugee from Vietnam in 1975. After a few years in West Africa, Hung moved to Virginia as a child and is a proud member of the inaugural graduating class of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria.
Hung retired in October 2021 as Captain, dedicating 25 years in Navy Special Operations. He commanded various special operations units around the world. During his last combat deployment in 2020-2021 he was the Director of counter-Improvised Threats throughout Afghanistan.
