I left the master sharing switch on but unchecked Photos on my desktop Mac, my iPhone, and my MacBook. Now all of my counts match, as does the count when I look at my iCloud Photos folder on the actual iCloud website (just recently found out that you could even do that!).

Open the Maps app. Find the destination you wish to go, and tap Get Directions. The directions will appear, by default from ‘My Location’, which will appear in blue.
