We flew from LHR to Jo'berg and return from Cape town. Both flights were smooth and on time. Planes clean. Service was OK but could be better. Efficient not warm. Food was average and obviously free drinks.

21 gru 2017 · We chose Premium Economy as it was a 14 hour flight. This was quite a difference in cost over economy. However despite this we would have to pay extra to book seats more than 24 hours in advance and at the airport and on boarding we were treated no differently to Economy.
On your average BA 747 only 36 of the 345 seats are premium economy so only just over 10% of people think premium economy is worth it, the others preferring First, Business or Economy.
