There is an ash pile immediately near the south side of the volcano. I have found that this ash pile is hardly ever collected from, so I just stand in that one spot and continuously hop worlds once I finish that pile.

I was looking at getting some volcanic ash after working through my ammonite crab supplies. How do you go about it? What do you find to be the most efficient and afk ways?
Allow us to throw logs of the entire spectrum of tiers onto volcanic vents on the fossil island volcano for the ash that spreads to add to the duration of piles (AOE) when mining for volcanic ash. I.E. a redwood or magic log would add ~70 ticks and a regular log might add ~3 ticks
