  1. If the seat map for your flight is in 1-2-1 configuration, it is new Club Suites and all seats have direct aisle access and doors on the suites. This will be on A350, 787-10 and some 777 aircraft. The older seats are in aircraft with 2-4-2 (A380 lower deck and some 777s) and 2-3-2 (A380 upper deck, 787-8 and 787-9) configurations.

  2. The upper deck of the 747 is business class. It’s quite an intimate cabin as it only has 20 seats. First Class is on the lower deck on both the 747 and A380.

  3. Is it correct that you have to climb over the aisle seat to access the window seat, Any suggestions on the best seats for a couple? Many Thanks

  4. 12 reviews. 8 helpful votes. BA New Style Business Class Seats. 15 years ago. I'm planning to fly out Heathrow - Chicago O'Hare then back SFO - Heathrow in January 09. Last time I flew BA Business class they had the old style seats with the fan style divider between seats which you could put down if you were travelling with someone.

  6. On the 747 I've seen couples who've looked very comfortable and pleased to have chosen the two rear-facing seats in the centre bloc, the E and F seats on the main deck, as well as parents with children who've made those seats into their own minicabin for the flight.

  7. OP, American has different types of business class seats depending on the aircraft. Those with the “reverse herringbone” setup are very good. They’re 1-2-1 so again a pair of center seats work best but they have unfettered aisle access.
