The majority of people in the restaurant wore business attire, but I did see a handful of casually dressed diners. Arpège Cons. The plating was underwhelming. For a three-star Michelin-rated restaurant, I expected more creative plating.

  7. Arpege didn't care about dress code several years ago. Pretty fair chance I was wearing jeans or something equally casual, and Alain Passard came and greeted us (total strangers) at the door in his own ratty jeans and couldn't have been more welcoming. (Edit: apparently I had a jacket but no tie.)
