After 24 hours, tickets purchased are non-refundable. There are no change fees to change your dates of travel if you purchased Trip Flex travel protection, as long as these changes are made at least one hour prior to travel.
I'm pretty sure airlines have to refund you the taxes on a cancelled, unused ticket, even if they say the ticket is non-refundable. So it's better to cancel, rather than no-show.

I only pay for refundable rates in two situations: when the trip is booked (plane) but there is a chance I’m not going, or when the difference is smaller than 5% of the price (almost never). After 45 countries I can say I never thought “damn I should have booked a refundable one”
30 kwi 2022 · Since all of Allegiant's flights take off or arrive at an airport in the United States, the airline must offer you a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of booking and it's more than seven days before your departure. But, outside of that, Allegiant policy does not allow for any refunds.
