Since some tickets are non-refundable, every eligible ticket will be refunded in around 20 working days if the purchase was made in cash. For any purchases made with a credit card, it will take a maximum of seven business days to see the money on your bank account.
If Alaska cancels the flight, the passenger is entitled by law to a refund regardless of fare class. They may try to get the passenger to accept a rescheduled itinerary, but the passenger does not have to accept. This is the one exception to the "No refunds for Saver Fares" rule.
When changes are made or new travel is booked with an existing ticket credit, you'll be responsible for a difference in the ticket price.
