The CR Smith Museum completed a significant remodel in the summer of 2018. In its new configuration, the Museum explains the inner workings of airline operations and showcases the people who run American Airlines every day. Brand new interactive exhibits entice participation by all age groups.
The exhibits were interesting; as expected there is a history of American Airlines, theory of flight, a movie about AA, airport operations, a 9/11 tribute, a retired DC-3 airplane that you can walk in, and a good souvenirs shop. I would recommend this museum to any visitors to Dallas and especially aviation enthusiasts.
