On Friday 4/30, we visited the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio. This is a fantastic museum with 4 or 5 hangars filled with airplanes and other types of aircraft. You should give yourself a good majority of the day to go thru all the exhibits in this museum.
Located in downtown Dayton at 22 E. Fifth Street, the Dayton Convention Center is a 150,000 sq ft (14,000 m 2) facility with 68,000 sq ft (7,150 m 2) of exhibit space, a 672-seat theater, and 19 meeting rooms including a VIP lounge overlooking the exhibit halls. [1]
MAPS Air Museum (North Canton) This museum is home to dozens of aircraft and is open every day except for Monday throughout most of the year. Some of its many airplanes include the Sikorsky H-19D-2-SI Chickasaw, Cessna O-2A Skymaster, Douglas C-47B Gooney Bird, and the Bell AH-1S Cobra, among others.
