The Air Force Armament Museum is located on the Emerald Coast of the Florida Panhandle. It is on Highway 85 South, 7 miles north of Fort Walton Beach. The museum is open Sunday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time. Tours are self-guided. Photography is permitted and encouraged.

One for military buffs. The exterior of this hangar-style museum, flanked by fighter planes, appears small, but inside are extensive weapons displays – including an F-105 Thunderchief missile and a Warthog simulator – as well as a detailed history of Eglin base, the largest in the US.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff. A packed building with every time of AF and weapon you can think of. And then a vast collection outside of vintage war planes, from a B52 down to a Piper Cub, as well as various types of bombs.
