However, when attending events like Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars games, purses no larger than 14″x14″x6″ are allowed at designated X-ray entry points. Backpacks and large totes are not allowed at the American Airlines Center.
Still cameras are allowed inside American Airlines Center for Mavs games. Video and flash cameras are NOT allowed. Professional cameras are prohibited at all events in American Airlines Center unless accompanied by appropriate media credentials.

Fans attending a hockey game or basketball match will go through a metal detector at the stadium before scanning their ticket. Fans with a bag will have the security team inspect it.
The standard policy at American Airlines Center is to open doors 90 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the show. If the show’s door opening requirement differs from the policy of the facility please be certain to let your Event Manager know. Please be aware that per facility policy, all guests will have to go through metal detectors.
