Congratulations to our graduates! After 25 weeks of hard work and dedication, this impressive group of 26 women and men officially graduated from the Allegheny County Police Training Academy. This is the 126th academy class. Graduates have gone on to serve at more than 100 police departments in our region since our first class in 1972.

There are two basic recruit classes per year, beginning in either January or July, according to the Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training Commission (MPOETC) curriculum of 25 weeks. Cadet classes run Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, with limited nights and weekend training scheduled.
